Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007199
The middle part of the three primary brain vesicles that develop from the neural tube in a vertebrate embryo. It is situated between the forebrain (prosencephalon) and the hindbrain (rhombencephalon) and develops into structures such as the tectum and tegmentum.
