Botanical pesticide

A substance used for pest control that is derived from plants and their constituent parts through processes like extraction or grinding. These compounds act through several mechanisms, including neurotoxicity, growth inhibition, or repellency. Examples of botanical pesticides include pyrethrins from chrysanthemum flowers, nicotine from tobacco, and azadirachtin from the neem tree.
