Cascade impactor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012950
A device used to collect airborne particulate matter, separating particles into different size fractions based on their aerodynamic diameter. Air is drawn through a series of nozzles and impaction plates, with larger particles impacting on earlier stages. This instrument is used for air quality monitoring and aerosol research.
