Catalysed photochemical reaction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001702
A photochemical reaction whose rate or selectivity is enhanced by the presence of a catalyst, which itself is not consumed in the overall process. The catalyst typically interacts with either the excited state of a reactant or an intermediate, facilitating a more efficient reaction pathway. This combines the principles of photochemistry and catalysis to achieve specific chemical transformations.
