Catalysed rate of reaction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001703
The observed rate of a reaction minus the spontaneous rate measured under comparable conditions without the added catalytic material, so it is the part of the rate that the catalyst contributes. In clinical chemistry it is expressed as amount of substance converted per second, in mol per second, and it is the quantity that the katal measures as catalytic activity.
