Cauda equina
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001752
A bundle of spinal nerves and nerve roots that extends from the conus medullaris, the tapered end of the spinal cord, down to the sacrum. These nerves innervate the pelvic organs and lower limbs. Damage to this structure can result in cauda equina syndrome, characterized by severe neurological deficits.
