Brachial plexus

A network of nerves that begins at the spinal cord in the neck and passes through the axilla into the arm. It is formed by the ventral rami of the spinal nerves C5 to T1, which are arranged into roots, trunks, divisions and cords before giving off the terminal nerves that supply the shoulder, arm, forearm and hand.
