Choroid plexus

A network of capillaries and specialized ependymal cells located in the ventricles of the brain. This structure is primarily responsible for producing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which cushions the brain and spinal cord and transports nutrients and waste. The choroid plexus also forms part of the blood-CSF barrier.
