Cerebellum
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001812
A major division of the brain located at the back of the skull, beneath the cerebrum, responsible for coordinating voluntary movements, balance, and posture. It integrates sensory information from the spinal cord and other parts of the brain to fine-tune motor activity. Damage to this region can result in ataxia, characterized by impaired coordination and unsteady gait.
