Characteristic mass for integrated absorbance
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001884
The mass of an analyte that produces an integrated absorbance of 0.0044 absorbance seconds in electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. This value serves as a measure of the sensitivity of the analytical method for a specific element. It is inversely proportional to the sensitivity, meaning a smaller characteristic mass indicates higher sensitivity for the analyte.
