Experimental absorbance
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004225
The decadic absorbance as measured, without correction for losses other than absorption, so reflection at cell windows, scattering and luminescence all add to it. It is calculated as the base-10 logarithm of the ratio of incident to transmitted radiant power and has no unit. Internal absorbance is the corresponding value after correction for these other processes.
