Internal absorbance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005960

The absorbance of a homogeneous sample, excluding any losses due to reflection, scattering, or luminescence at the sample surfaces. This value represents the true absorption of light by the analyte within the sample volume. It is a fundamental property used in Beer-Lambert law calculations for quantitative spectroscopy.
