Characteristic mass for peak absorption

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001885

The mass of an analyte that produces a peak absorbance of 0.0044 absorbance units in electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. This value is determined under specified conditions, including the type of atomizer, temperature program, and matrix. It serves as a measure of the sensitivity of a particular analytical method for a given element.
