Napierian absorbance
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007767
A measure of the attenuation of radiant power as it passes through a sample, calculated using the natural logarithm of the ratio of incident to transmitted radiant power. This quantity is directly proportional to the concentration of the absorbing species and the path length of the light through the sample. It is related to decadic absorbance by a factor of ln(10).
