Chlorosis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002018

A condition in plants characterized by a yellowing of the leaves due to insufficient chlorophyll production. This discoloration can result from nutrient deficiencies, such as iron or magnesium, or from environmental stressors like poor drainage or pesticide exposure. Chlorosis reduces the plant's photosynthetic capacity, impacting growth and yield.
