Chromosomal aberration

A change in the normal structure or number of chromosomes within a cell. These alterations can involve deletions, duplications, inversions, or translocations of genetic material. Chromosomal aberrations can arise spontaneously or be induced by mutagens, and they are often associated with genetic disorders or cancer.
