Coated-vessel format
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002160
A solid-phase microextraction geometry in which the sorbent is coated on the inner walls of the sample vessel itself, so that the vessel acts as the extraction device while the sample is agitated against the coating. It differs from the fiber format, where a coated rod is dipped into or exposed above the sample, and from the in-tube format, where the sample is drawn through a coated capillary.
