Contraindication

A specific condition or factor that makes the use of a particular medication, procedure, or treatment inadvisable or potentially harmful. Contraindications can be absolute, meaning the treatment should never be used, or relative, meaning caution is advised. For example, pregnancy is a contraindication for certain medications.
