Corrosion potential

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002610

The electrode potential of a corroding metal in an electrolyte when no net current flows between the metal and the solution. This potential is a mixed potential, representing the balance between the anodic (oxidation) and cathodic (reduction) reactions occurring on the metal surface. It is often measured against a reference electrode.
