Crystal polymorph
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002756
A distinct crystalline form of a given chemical compound or polymer that possesses the same chemical composition but different arrangements of its constituent molecules in the solid state. These different arrangements lead to variations in physical properties such as melting point, solubility, and mechanical strength. Polyethylene can exist in several polymorphs.
