Crystal photochemistry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002755
The study of photochemical reactions that occur within the solid crystalline state. In this environment, the rigid lattice structure can impose specific orientations and distances between reacting molecules, influencing reaction pathways and product selectivity. This contrasts with solution-phase photochemistry, where molecules have greater freedom of movement.
