Crystalline polymer-inclusion complex

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002760

A crystalline material formed when polymer chains are encapsulated within the channels or cavities of a host crystalline lattice, without forming covalent bonds with the host. The guest polymer chains are typically in an extended conformation within the host structure. These complexes can exhibit unique properties due to the confined environment of the polymer.
