Cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002843

A protein receptor found on the surface of T cells that acts as an immune checkpoint, downregulating immune responses. It competes with CD28 for binding to B7 molecules on antigen-presenting cells, thereby inhibiting T cell activation. This molecule is a target for certain cancer immunotherapies.
