B7 molecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001063
A family of co-stimulatory molecules expressed on antigen-presenting cells that interact with receptors on T lymphocytes to regulate immune responses. These interactions provide the second signal required for full T-cell activation, preventing anergy. CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) are the two primary B7 molecules that bind to CD28 on T cells.
