Naïve lymphocyte
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007741
A lymphocyte that has not yet encountered its specific antigen and therefore has not been activated. These cells circulate through the lymphatic system and secondary lymphoid organs, awaiting activation by antigen-presenting cells. Upon activation, they differentiate into effector cells or memory cells to mount an immune response.
