Delirium

An acute and fluctuating disturbance of consciousness characterized by inattention, disorganized thinking, and perceptual disturbances. This neurocognitive disorder can result from underlying medical conditions, drug intoxication, or withdrawal. It represents a transient global disorder of cognitive function, often reversible with appropriate treatment of the underlying cause.
