Intoxication

The state of being poisoned, characterized by physiological or psychological disturbances caused by the presence of toxic substances in the body. These substances can be exogenous, such as drugs, alcohol, or environmental pollutants, or endogenous, produced by the body itself. The severity depends on the dose, toxicity, and individual susceptibility.
