Poisoning

The state of being harmed by a toxic substance, resulting from exposure to a chemical agent that interferes with normal physiological functions. This exposure can occur through ingestion, inhalation, skin contact, or injection. The severity of poisoning depends on the dose, toxicity of the substance, and individual susceptibility.
