Endogenous

Originating or produced from within an organism, cell, or system. The term applies to substances, such as hormones or metabolites, that are synthesized by the body, as well as to internal processes or stimuli. In immunology, an endogenous antigen is a protein generated within a cell that is then presented on its surface.
