Diffuse transmission
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003189
The passage of electromagnetic radiation through a material where the light is scattered in multiple directions as it passes through, rather than traveling in a straight path. This occurs in translucent or turbid media due to internal scattering by particles or inhomogeneities. It is measured as the total transmitted light, including scattered components.
