Divided spinning cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003362
A shallow dish-shaped sample holder for Raman spectroscopy that a vertical wall splits into two halves, one filled with a reference liquid and the other with the sample, while the whole cell turns on a vertical spindle at its middle. As it spins, scattered radiation from each half is recorded in turn. The Raman intensities of the sample are then obtained relative to those of the standard liquid.
