Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003425

The region or side of a membrane that is located after the membrane in the direction of the permeate flow. This area collects the components that have passed through the membrane, often referred to as the permeate. In filtration processes, the downstream side is where the purified fluid or separated components are collected.
