Explicit solvent

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004233

A computational model where individual solvent molecules are represented with their atomic coordinates and interactions. This approach accounts for the discrete nature of the solvent and its specific interactions with the solute. It is computationally more demanding than continuum solvent models but provides a more detailed description of solvation effects.
