Fluorous extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004539
A separation technique that employs a fluorous solvent, characterized by a high fluorine content, to selectively extract fluorous-tagged compounds from a mixture. The unique properties of fluorous solvents, such as their immiscibility with both aqueous and organic phases, allow for efficient partitioning. This method is often used in combinatorial chemistry for purification processes.
