Food allergy

An adverse immune response to specific food proteins, triggered by the body's immune system mistakenly identifying them as harmful. This reaction can range from mild symptoms like hives or digestive upset to severe, life-threatening anaphylaxis. Common food allergens include peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, and shellfish.
