Gall bladder

A small, pear-shaped organ located beneath the liver that stores and concentrates bile produced by the liver. Bile aids in the digestion and absorption of fats in the small intestine. When food containing fat enters the duodenum, the gall bladder contracts and releases bile through the bile duct.
