Geometry factor

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004856

A dimensionless quantity that accounts for the fraction of emitted radiation from a source that reaches a detector. It depends on the physical arrangement and dimensions of the source and detector, as well as any intervening materials. This factor is often expressed as a solid angle subtended by the detector at the source, divided by 4π steradians.
