Gibbs energy of repulsion

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013125

The thermodynamic work required to bring two interacting colloidal particles or surfaces from an infinite separation to a given finite separation, specifically accounting for repulsive forces. This energy component contributes to the total interaction energy between particles in a dispersion. It is typically positive for repulsive interactions and is expressed in joules per mole or per particle.
