Gravimetric method
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005015
An analytical technique that determines the amount of an analyte by precisely measuring its mass or the mass of a compound chemically related to it. This method relies on the analyte being converted into a stable, weighable form. A common application is the determination of sulfate by precipitating it as barium sulfate.
