Heat capacity of activation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005145

The change in heat capacity between the reactants and the transition state of a chemical reaction. This thermodynamic parameter provides insight into the structural changes and solvation effects occurring during the formation of the transition state. It is derived from the temperature dependence of the activation enthalpy.
