Heat capacity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005144
A measure of the amount of energy required to change the temperature of a substance by a specific amount. It quantifies how much heat a substance can absorb or release for a given temperature change. The molar heat capacity is expressed in joules per mole per kelvin (J mol-1 K-1).
