Helium-neon laser
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005167
A type of gas laser that uses a mixture of helium and neon gases as the active medium to produce a continuous beam of coherent light. It is known for its stable output, typically emitting red light at a wavelength of 632.8 nanometers. These lasers are widely used in barcode scanners, alignment systems, and educational demonstrations.
