Hemangioma
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005176
A benign tumor composed of an abnormal proliferation of blood vessels, often appearing as a red or purplish lesion on the skin or internal organs. While most are harmless and resolve without treatment, some can interfere with functions like vision or breathing depending on their location and size. This distinguishes them from malignant vascular tumors, which are cancerous.
