Hertz

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013150

The SI derived unit of frequency, defined as one cycle per second. Its symbol is Hz, and it quantifies the number of repetitions of a periodic event occurring in one second. For example, a frequency of 50 Hz indicates that an event, such as the oscillation of an electromagnetic wave, repeats 50 times every second.
