Hydrophilicity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005485
The physicochemical property of a molecule or a molecular entity that describes its tendency to associate with water. This characteristic arises from the ability to form hydrogen bonds or engage in ion-dipole interactions with water molecules. Substances exhibiting high hydrophilicity are often soluble in water.
