Imino carbenes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005610
A carbene that carries an imino group, RN=, elsewhere in the molecule, as in R-C(:)-CH2-C(=NR)R, where the divalent carbon and the C=N unit are separate. The name is listed to warn against using it for alkylideneaminocarbenes, in which the nitrogen of the C=N unit is bonded directly to the carbene carbon.
