Immunotoxicant

A chemical substance that adversely affects the immune system, leading to altered immune function. Exposure to such agents can result in immunosuppression, increasing susceptibility to infections and cancer, or immunostimulation, potentially leading to autoimmune diseases or allergic reactions. Examples include certain heavy metals, pesticides, and industrial chemicals.
