In-vivo neutron activation analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006067
A non-invasive analytical technique used to determine the elemental composition of living biological tissues. The body is exposed to a neutron flux, causing some elements to become radioactive. The emitted gamma rays are then measured to quantify the elemental content, often used for total body calcium or nitrogen assessment.
