Inductomeric effect
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005807
A temporary inductive effect that arises from the polarization of sigma bonds in a molecule due to the approach of a reagent. This effect is transient and only occurs during a chemical reaction, influencing the electron distribution at the reaction center. It differs from the permanent inductive effect, which is an intrinsic property of the molecule.
