Insensitive nuclei enhanced by polarization transfer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005895

A nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy technique that transfers magnetization from a sensitive nucleus, such as hydrogen-1, to a less sensitive nucleus, like carbon-13 or nitrogen-15. This transfer increases the signal intensity of the insensitive nuclei, making them easier to detect. The technique often involves a series of radiofrequency pulses and delays.
